My Spend is designed to help users manage personal financial information, including expenses, income, transfers, bank accounts, cash accounts, credit cards, EMIs, payees, and related financial records.
The application also provides optional features such as SMS-based transaction detection, contact-based payee selection, local backup and restore, encrypted backups, Google Drive backup and restore, biometric authentication, reports, and statement import/export.
Depending on the features you choose to use, My Spend may access the following categories of information.
If you enable the SMS Auto Fetch feature and grant the required permission, My Spend may read relevant bank and credit-card SMS messages to identify financial transactions.
This may include information contained in financial SMS messages, such as transaction amount, transaction type, merchant or description, account/card references, date, and related message information.
My Spend uses this information to detect and create income or expense transactions, match transactions to accounts, identify categories, and prevent duplicate transaction imports.
My Spend also uses filtering logic to ignore unrelated messages, including promotional or service messages that are not relevant to financial transaction tracking.
If you choose to add a Payee from your device contacts, My Spend may request access to your contacts.
Contact information is used only to allow you to select and create a Payee in the Udhar section. Contact access is not required for ordinary expense, income, account, EMI, or reporting functionality.
My Spend may store information that you enter into the application, including:
This information is used to provide the financial-management features of the application.
If you use statement import or backup/restore functionality, My Spend may access files selected or created for those features.
Supported statement and export functionality may involve formats such as PDF, CSV, TXT, and Excel/XLSX.
My Spend stores application data locally on your device to provide its core functionality.
Local application data may include accounts, transactions, categories, EMIs, payees, settings, and other information created or imported by you.
My Spend does not require a My Spend-operated cloud account for ordinary local financial-record functionality.
My Spend provides an optional local backup and restore feature.
Backups may be stored in the My Spend backup folder on your device, including:
/storage/emulated/0/MySpend/Backup
Backup files use encrypted backup protection. My Spend supports AES-256-GCM encryption and PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256-based key derivation for encrypted backup protection.
The local backup feature may require the appropriate Android storage/file access required by the device and Android version.
My Spend provides an optional Google Drive backup and restore feature.
If you choose to use this feature, My Spend may use Google Sign-In and Google Drive services to authenticate you and store or retrieve your encrypted My Spend backup.
Backup data is intended to remain encrypted before being uploaded through the My Spend backup functionality.
Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.
My Spend may provide an application lock using a PIN and/or biometric authentication such as fingerprint authentication, depending on your device and enabled settings.
Biometric authentication is performed by the Android operating system. My Spend does not receive or store your fingerprint or other biometric template.
If you enable SMS Auto Fetch, My Spend may process relevant incoming financial SMS messages to identify transactions.
Background processing may be used to support automatic transaction processing and other enabled automated features.
SMS Auto Fetch is an optional feature and may be disabled from the application settings where supported.
Information accessed or entered into My Spend may be used for the following purposes:
My Spend does not intentionally sell your personal or financial information.
My Spend does not intentionally disclose your financial records, SMS transaction information, or contact information to unrelated third parties for advertising purposes.
Information may be transmitted to services that you explicitly choose to use, such as Google services for Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup/restore.
Data may also be processed or disclosed where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
My Spend uses security measures intended to protect your information, including application locking, PIN protection, biometric authentication, and encrypted backup functionality.
Encrypted backup functionality uses AES-256-GCM encryption and PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256-based key derivation.
However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should also protect your device, PIN, biometric access, and backup credentials.
My Spend is designed primarily for personal financial record management on your device.
Information stored locally remains on your device until you edit, delete, uninstall, or otherwise remove it using the available application or device functionality.
Backup copies may remain wherever you have chosen to save them, including local backup storage or Google Drive, until you delete those backup copies.
You can delete financial records and other supported information through the application where deletion functionality is provided.
If you uninstall My Spend, locally stored application data may be removed according to Android's application-data handling.
Separately created backup files are not necessarily deleted when the application is uninstalled. You should delete local backup files and Google Drive backup copies separately if you no longer want them.
If you have questions about deletion of information associated with a service used by My Spend, you may contact us using the contact information below.
My Spend requests permissions only for features that require them. Depending on the features you use and your Android version, these may include:
My Spend may use third-party services or platform services required to provide selected functionality.
